A Quiet Place 2, the sequel of the smashing superhit horror movie, A Quiet Place, shall be premiering in the theatres in September 2020. Created by John Krasinski, it is based on the characters by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck. The first sequel was released on 9th March 2018 and has been into the limelight since then.
It grossed over $340 million worldwide and has received numerous award nominations, such as Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, Writers Guild of America Award for Best Screenplay, Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in Supporting Role, which was later won by Emily Blunt, and many additional nominations.
The sequel shall be resuming the plot from the place it left in the first instalment. Followed by the death of the father, played by John Krasinski, the Abbott family shall continue to fight and face the terrors of the outside world in silence.
Has The Sequel Been Delayed Due To The COVID-19 outbreak?
According to reports, Paramount Pictures have confirmed that A Quiet Place 2, has been delayed for the upcoming months and will be airing on 4th September 2020. Initially, the sequel was supposed to get released on 18th March 2020. But due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, it got postponed. The pandemic not only affected the release of this movie but all other productions and releases as well. We hope everything gets back to normalcy soon.
Cast Of The Upcoming Sequel?
In case of the cast, all characters from the first sequel shall be returning. Emily Blunt as Evelyn, Millicent Simmonds as Regan, Noah Jupe as Marcus is supposed to reprise their roles. John Krasinski shall also be appearing as Lee Abbott, in the flashback sequences. According to reports, Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou have also joined the cast.
