It was announced on May 6th that Blue Bloods will be coming back for the 11th season. Along with that, sources revealed that production teams had also started working. It is the case of all CBS shows and not just Blue Bloods. Looks like CBS show has started production on several of their projects. However, there is no official news on the release of the forthcoming season.
According to the sources, this season was supposed to begin airing by the end of this month. However, it has not happened yet. We suspect that production might be running slow or perhaps would have been put on hold for some time.
We expect the release date to be set in late December or perhaps in 2021. There is also a possibility that the show takes a gap of a year and resumes streaming in September next year. In that way, it would maintain its streak of September release. However, we don’t have any official updates regarding that.
Further, the episode count for the next season is expected to be 22 or perhaps a few more than that. As it might also cover the episodes that couldn’t be shot due to the pandemic. Therefore, it could be around 25 episodes long
