Fact Check: Virgin River Cancelled For Season 2 At Netflix?

From the past couple of days, there have been rumors in several tabloids that Netflix has canceled Virgin River for a second season, just like The Society. But No, the truth is Netflix has not made any official announcement regarding the cancellation of the show and as far as we know, there are no plans for Virgin River’s cancellation.

Virgin River is an American origin romantic drama series. The series is based on the novel series ” Virgin River ” by Robyn Carr. The series is developed by Sue Tenney. The first season of this series was released in December 2019 and the series got renewed for the second in December 2019.

The second of the series will have 10 episodes. Robyn Carr also serves as the executive producer of the series along with Christopher E. Perry, Sue Tenney, Roma Roth, and Jocelyn Freid.


Virgin River has been revived for a second season and that is very good news for the fans of the series. It is expected that the second season will have 10 episodes and it will be based on the Harlequin book series by Robyn Carr.

Season 2 of the Virgin River was expected to release in 2020. However, it is not confirmed yet and we don’t have any confirmed release date. Also, it is not clear whether the second season will face delay due to the ongoing pandemic situation as most of the shows faced it.

It was revealed in June 2020 that Ben Hollingsworth will return to play the role of Dan Brady in the second installment.


We know that the storyline is taken from the Harlequin book series by Robyn Carr. The story will start from where it ended in season one.

We will see in season two how Mel is spending her life out of Virgin River and we will see about Charmaine and Jack as they are expecting a baby in season one which led to Mel breaking up with Jack.

In season one we saw unexpected and unexplained disappearance of Paige and in next season we will see where she is.
