Giri/Haji. The English Japanese mixed series. Originally released on BBC 2, the show was later released worldwide via Netflix In January this year. The show is set partly in London and in Tokyo. With an interesting plot and breathtaking storytelling style, the fans are eagerly waiting for the next season. Well, here is all about its release.

Will There Be Another Season Of Giri/Haji?

Well, there has been nothing said about a second season or the renewal of the show. However, fans do want a second run after watching the first one. Moreover, the viewership and the rating also point in the same direction.

The show did wrap up neatly and doesn’t leave much of loose ends to take on. if the show is renewed then it would take up a completely different scenario then. Although a spin-off series is likely, featuring fans favourite Rodney and Taki.

When Might The Second Season Release?

Regardless of the fans demand, the show hasn’t been renewed, let alone the release date. If it were to release then the release date would be set quite far, keeping in mind the halt in production works due to lockdown.

The show, if renewed, is likely to be released by the end of 2021 or by 2022. Any release date sooner than that seems improbable.

The expected cast for the next season is Takehiro Hira as Kenzo Mori, Yōsuke Kubozuka as Yuto Kelly, Macdonald as Sarah Weitzmann, Aoi Okuyama as Taki, Masahiro Motoki as Fukuhara, Will Sharpe as Rodney, John McCrea as Tiff, Yûko Nakamura as Rei.

There has been no information about new people joining the cast. However, it is likely that new faces do appear on the screen, along with a new story. It is expected that the next season would feature a different scenario with the same characters.
