Google Is Teaming Up With VMware To Expand The Cloud To Other Companies

Google Cloud and VMware have come together to offer companies even more flexible and customized solutions to develop their work in the cloud. From now on, VMware customers will be able to run their workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The agreement will offer users a wide range of options, from operating in a hybrid environment to using modern container applications in Anthos or running VM-based applications in GCP.

In the words of Sanjay Poonen, COO of customer operations at VMware. “With VMware integrated in Google Cloud Platform, customers can take advantage of an environment they already know, while leveraging the investment that VMWare has made in security tools and training to carry out their strategies in the cloud, thus bringing new services to your market, offering them smoothly and more securely through a hybrid cloud environment. ”

VMware, the world’s leading enterprise software innovator, announced the launch of Google Cloud VMwareSolution by CloudSimple with Google Cloud. This new service will enable businesses to run their VMware workloads on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), giving customers multiple choices and flexibility to run VMware workloads locally, in a hybrid architecture or the cloud. The solution will be built and run by VMware Cloud Verified partner CloudSimple with VMware Cloud Foundation infrastructure software deployed on GCP.

The solution was designed, developed and operated by CloudSimple and leveraged the VMware Cloud Foundation. The service includes VMware vSphere, vSAN and NSX deployed on GCP and operated by CloudSimple. Google Cloud will provide first-level support and work with CloudSimple to help customers get a streamlined product support experience that delivers Service Level Agreement (SLA) support for enterprise customers for their business-critical applications.

VMware and Google Cloud provide a solid foundation for customers’ cloud computing, hybrid cloud, and cloud strategies. The new release is based on several existing integrations and collaborations, including integration with VMware NSX Service Mesh and VMware SD-WAN; Google Cloud Cloud Solution on Windows vSphere, vSAN and NSX; and the ability to The ability to manage Google Cloud resources in the VMware vRealize Automation environment.
