Is PUBG Mobile Getting Banned In India? Here’s What The Gamers Should Know

Most of the PUBG mobile players are eagerly waiting to know whether the game has been banned from India or not? Is it one of the names amongst the 59 banned Chinese apps in India? PUBG is one of the most famous online games in India that has many fans following. Due to the Chinese attack on the Galwan Valley, India has drawn its battle lines with China.

The Indian government has banned 59 Chinese apps in India under the circumstances of prejudicial to India’s sovereignty and integrity. Google has also confirmed that all these apps shall no longer be available in the play store and cannot be downloaded in android or IOS phones.

Is PUBG’s Origin Linked To China?

PUBG is a South Korean company, subsidiary to videogame company Bluehole. It was made functional on the Steam store for Microsoft Windows. Later the company partnered with one of the most prominent Chinese gaming developers Tencent, a multinational conglomerate. This Chinese company was the one to enlist the PUBG Mobile version in the market. But how so ever, this doesn’t make the game to be of Chinese origin.

Is PUBG Going To Be Banned In India?

PUBG Mobile is not going to be banned in India. Now, when it is confirmed that the game is of South Korean origin, there is no reason for it to get banned in India. It is not a part of the 59 banned Chinese apps. The government sources have officially confirmed this. Everyone is free to download them on their android or IOS phones.

Some of the well-known Chinese apps that were banned are TikTok, ShareIt, Xender, Shein, YouCam, Clash of Kings, MiCommunity, UC News, UC Browser, SelfieCity, QQ Music, Bigo Live, DU Privacy, and several other apps. All these apps shall not be available in Play Store or any other platforms.
