The Kingdom is a Netflix original South Korean horror series. It is written by Kim Eun-hee. The series is based on the Land of the Gods webcomic, which was also written by Kim Eun-hee.
Will there be Kingdom season 3?
It is too early to predict the future of this South Korean action thriller. It is not yet confirmed when will series get a renewal for its third season. But there is still hope. For now, all we can do is wait for the official announcement from Netflix.
What will we see in season 3 Kingdom?
In the first season of Kingdom that aired in January 2019, Kim Eun-hee told of a new disease outbreak in the royal area. It was led by the King, as well as the father of Prince Lee Chang (Joo Ji-hoon).
Meanwhile, through Kingdom season 2, Kim Eun-hee with two directors, Park In-je and Kim Sung-hoon brought the audience deeper into the royal conflict and ‘blood’.
So, the third season is likely to start exactly where the second season left off. That will be seven years and three months after the initial zombie outbreak.
It is likely that Prince Chang will need to retreat from the north and there could be another outbreak in the north.
What about the cast in Kingdom Season 3?
In this third season, the protagonist could be the actress Jun Ji-Hyun. Except for a few, all the main cast members are expected to return for season three.
Season 3 includes Ju Ji-hoon, Bae Doona, Kim Hye-jun, Ryu Seung-Ryong, Kim Sung-kyu, Kim Sang-ho, and Heo Joon-ho.
Other members most likely to return are Jeon Seok-ho, Jung Suk-won, Park Byung Eun and Kim Tae Hoon.
When will Kingdom Season 3 be premiered?
Release date will be confirmed only after the announcement of the renewal of the series.
For now, all we know is that the series debuted in January 2019 and the second season arrived in March 2020. Based on these release dates, it is likely that a forecast for the 3rd year would be between March and April 2021
