The popular Spanish series Money Heist or La casa de Papel is coming up with Season 5 on Netflix. Its a crime thriller drama, created by Alex Pina, that was initially intended to be a limited series that was to be sold in two parts. But later on, when Netflix acquired streaming rights, the budget was increased to more number of seasons. A documentary including the cast and producers had premiered on Netflix under the title Money Heist: The Phenomena.
The story revolves around a criminal mastermind, the Professor, who plans to pull off the most significant money heist in recorded history, that is to print billions on euros in mint of Spain. He is accompanied by eight others who have special abilities and has nothing to lose.
The fifth season has not been renewed officially. Basically it would be the first part of the third season. The first part of season one was released on 2nd May 2017 and the second part on 16th October 2017. Both the parts were aired on Antena 3. The first part of the second season was released on 19th June 2019 and the second part on 3rd April 2020. The fifth part or fifth season is supposed to get released in summer 2021.
One of the primary reason why Netflix hasn’t commented on the fifth season yet is due to the current scenario. Due to the outbreak of the virus, all release schedules and production processes are getting cancelled or delayed. Until it is bought under control, nothing could be said with surety.
In case of the cast, Alvaro Morte will be returning as the Professor. There are no further updates regarding which other actors would be reprising their roles in season four. No trailers have been released yet. Until any further details are out, stay indoors and stay tuned!
