Although there are still two years left for the premiere of The Batman, the production already suggests an increasingly interesting film. And to show that things are on track, Robert Pattinson formally began his training to become the hero of Gothic City.
Pattison’s personal trainer Rigan Machado shared an image through his Instagram account. In it, he and Pattinson appear in a training room at Beverly Hills Academy. Both wear comfortable clothes, perfect for work, and are sitting in lotus. Along with the photograph, the entender wrote: “Batman is coming.”
It should be noted that Machado has a lot of experience in training movie stars. According to the Comic Book report, he has been responsible for figures such as Vin Diesel, Ashton Kutcher, and Charlie Hunnam. In addition, it is level eight and a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, the Brazilian martial art.
Jiu-Jitsu is a fighting style that requires a lot of discipline, but at the same time, it is quite lethal. If Pattinson’s Batman is skilled in this martial art, that would mean that his attacks will be meditated, cruel and fast. This coincides with the statement that the British actor made recently that Batman is not a hero in the traditional sense of the word, but has a slightly lax morality.
Similarly, the director of the film, Matt Reeves, previously stated that his film adaptation of Bruce Wayne would be unconventional with respect to what has been seen so far in the cinema. In this way, Batman will return to his origins of the comics as the best detective in the world, instead of being just the classic defender of Gothic City.
For this reason, Wayne de Pattinson will not only face a villain, but there will be various antagonists throughout history. So far, Catwoman and El Riddix have been confirmed, which will be played by Zoe Kravitz and Paul Dano, respectively. In addition, Jeffrey Wright will join the tape as Commissioner Gordon.
The Batman will hit theaters in 2021.
