The Boys Season 2: Amazon Prime Videos! Release And Production Delayed Due To Coronavirus?

“The boys” is an uber-cool rip off of the action-packed comic book series Preacher by Garth Ennis and Transmetropolitan by Darick Robertson. The show premiered in July 2019. It gained momentum almost immediately. This show is unlike any other superhero series. It has the perfect blend of comedy, action, and anything that you could possibly ask for in a superhero series. The Boys surpassed its viewing predictions well within two weeks and became the most viewed show on Amazon Prime.

There are no updates regarding the official release date just yet. The second season was approved prior to the release of Season 1. The filming for Season 2 was over in December 2019. The Attendees of the PaleyFest 2020 were due to get first look at Season 2 on 15th March but because of the current Covid-19 pandemic, it was cancelled. Nevertheless, we believe that Season 2 will reach your screens earliest by July 2019.

The trailer is here!!!!! The trailer came out in December 2019. If you haven’t already seen it, watch it with us:

Although, the trailer doesn’t divulge the plot much even so we are excited to see what will happen next. As we can see there are snippets of the main characters in the show and clearly, a lot of bloody violence will ensue.

The majority of the core cast from Season 1 will return, however, one cast member Simon Pegg’s character Hugh Campbell Sr. will not come back.

In October 2019, Eric Kripke, the developer of the show posted a picture alongside greek actor Patton Oswalt with a subtle hint in the caption #SecretRole. Another cast addition will be Aya Cash who will be playing a gender-flipped role of StormFront. The show’s new take on the character will be pivotal for Season 2. Black Noir will also have an elaborate role to play in the upcoming season. Furthermore, Billy’s dog “Terror” will also star in an episode.

Towards the end of the show, Billy Butcher finds out his wife is still alive and has been living with Homelander helping him raise his kid. This can only fuel his hatred towards Homelander and can be expected to be a driving point for Season 2. We also hope to see more of the budding romance between Hughie and Starlight. We would also like to know whether Queen Maeve will continue to be a part of Vought’s super-group or not.

That’s all we have for you, stay tuned for a lot more Buzz!!
