The Last Kingdom Season 4: Release Date
In December 2018 The Last Kingdom’s Official Twitter Page announced the renewal of the show. Netflix has confirmed that the filming had begun for the 10 new episodes in April 2019 and in July 2019, Instagram page of the show invited their fans to “join Uhtred next year on Netflix as the battel continues” and with this, it looks like we will have The Last Kingdom Season 4 in 2020.
We still don’t have a piece of accurate information more on this that when it might be on Netflix.
About The Last Kingdom
The Last Kingdom is based on Bernard Cornwell’s The Saxon Stories novels, with each season following the events of two books, which is set in the 9th century AD. The protagonist is Uhtred son of Uhtred, a Saxon boy who’s brought up by Danes after they took them and decided to raise him on their own.
Then Uhtred betrayed later and Danes came to believe that he killed his father who was adoptive. Uhtred then was forced to travel to Wessex, the only one of the seven kingdoms which is not in control under Danes.
The Last Kingdom Season 4: Cast
The Last Kingdom Season 4 will meet a fresh batch of young actors which includes Uhtred’s children by Gisela. Alexandra Dreymon will return as Uhtred of Bebbanburg and with the team with the kingdoms fractured, Joseph will come as Aelfric.
There will be many of the returning casts which includes Ian Hart, Toby Regbo, Emily Cox, Timothy Innes, Eliza Butterworth, Millie Brady, Mark Rowley Jeppe Beck Laursen, Magnus Bruun. The streaming platform also confirms that Prime Suspect Stefanie Martini will also join the cast as Eadith. Jamie Blackley will going to join the cast as Aethelred’s new right-hand man Eardwulf.
